Liz Culpepper

Liz Culpepper writes lyric and narrative nonfiction, turning a critical eye toward her experiences in – and adjacent to – the American military community. On the page, Liz links her personal life to a broader conversation about militarism, Christian nationalism, and gender, examining the emotional and moral implications of being a part of a military community while reaching toward language that transcends loss. She holds an MA in English from Kansas State University and an MFA in Creative Writing from the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University. Liz is a Bread Loaf scholarship recipient.
